Annual Premium Update Effective May 1, 2007

Premiums for the TRDP were established for each year of the contract with the Department of Defense at the time it was awarded in order to allow for projected changes in the cost of dental care. The first annual premium rate change took effect on May 1, 2004 for the contract year May 1, 2004 through April 30, 2005. Subsequent changes for the third and fourth contract years were made effective May 1, 2005 through April 30, 2006 and May 1, 2006 through April 30, 2007, respectively.

On May 1, 2007, the fees will again change slightly. This annual premium adjustment is automatic and will be reflected in the allotment from your retired pay, or if you are billed directly, in your payment coupons or EFT (electronic funds transfer) debit applicable to your May payment. The new monthly premium rates are effective May 1, 2007 through April 30, 2008.
